Vor vielen Jahren wurde das religiose und philosophische Interesse seiner Jugend, die Frage, was die Seele eigentlich sei, wieder lebendig und fuhrte zu einer ausgedehnten Erforschung der vielen medialen Offenbarungen unserer Zeit. Mueller erkannte schnell, dass nicht alle Medien vertrauenswurdig und nicht alle Offenbarungen richtig und kompetent sind. Das fuhrte ihn zu einer Liste von Kriterien, anhand derer Medien und ihre Offenbarungen auf ihre Glaubwurdigkeit hin beurteilt werden konnen. Beweise sind sie naturlich nicht, aber sie bewahren vor Irrtumern. Wichtig war fur Mueller auch immer das Erkennen von Gesetzmassigkeiten und ihre Einbettung in eine physikalische Theorie des Geistes.
