Left in the Dark

Johnny is trying to outrun a Hell of a past, and he thinks he's been doing a decent job of it. He has a life in Anthem City, and a semblance of a family, finally experiencing what he considers to be peace. When a mysterious woman walks past the stoop where he and his boys spend their time he finds that he can't get her out of his mind. Anthem is plunged into a complete blackout, and the heat of the summer causes the city's residents to boil over; rioting, looting, and setting the city alight. Along with the blackout comes the threat of a serial killer at large on the streets of the city, but that is the least of Johnny's worries. He knows all too well that the real peril isn't from the people in the streets, or from the killer in the shadows. The danger is coming from above and below, and Johnny is the only one who can stop the soldiers of Heaven and Hell from tearing his city and his family apart.
