Yuko's Love Never Ends

It was one day in the mid-1980s. Megumi, a promising pianist in high school, was playing a piece of Mozart, Twelve Variations on "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman," at her school music festival when she was in the eleventh grade. Kenji, an art student in the same school who was a year senior to her, fell in love with her at first glance at the festival. Kenji, however, graduated from the school leaving Megumi a strange letter. A year later, Megumi, who was a freshman, happened to meet Kenji, who was a sophomore, under the cherry tree in the university that they went to and fell in love. However, she came to know that he had a close girlfriend whom he always relied on whenever he fell into a trauma, especially the one that involved a tsunami that swept his parents to their deaths and left him alone as the sole survivor. On one Saturday night, after having dinner with him in his condo, Megumi felt an increased sympathy over his traumatic experiences. She ended up spending the night with him. This caused her to be pregnant at the age of eighteen, but she could not tell Kenji about it because of what his girlfriend said to her while on summer vacation. So, she decided to raise her baby alone and left for Takamatsu, where her aunt lived. Her daughter, Yuko was born, and it was only after a year passed that Kenji came to know about Yuko through a the lyrics of a personal song written by Megumi's friends. Now Yuko is six, she is already a piano prodigy. But she falls in love with the cello. Her life begins with love.[Author] Joshua Wholesomer University of Illinois at Chicago, EECS Master's 8 years as an elementary school teacher the author of Rise Up My Darling
