Nonetheless, it is her vulnerability that makes her beautiful. The Gift of H. E. R. represents a poetic expression of the beauty all women hold within. It attempts seeing through a woman's eyes, the thoughts, feelings and struggles that cause her pause, and brings her joy, happiness and heartbreak. It is a poetic commentary exploring the challenges and triumphs of women in their struggle against the traditional stereotypes of beauty.
