Two Watches

What happens when an average, over-40 schoolteacher realizes God is calling her for a special and unique purpose in life? And what if that purpose takes her far beyond her comfort zone? Two Watches is a highly personal journey through 2 years in the life of Anita Tarlton. Beginning with her surrender to Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior, the book traces events and people who eventually led her to Ghana, West Africa, for the first time. While there she realized that she was destined to return to Ghana more times in the future. She describes the strong emotional bonds and deep personal friendships that were forged in that first trip. She also delves into her fears and failures, and how she wrestled with the difficulties she faced both at home and abroad. Continuing through her second visit, the book illustrates the changes she felt as one who was returning with a more secure realization of her purpose. The story concludes by delving into her background and relating her upbringing and life experiences to the future of her call to Africa.
