Damage to the vines he swings on, no ID, no papers for the monkey, no burn permit, open fire, fishing the same day hunting in two districts. No insurance, urinating in public, jaywalking, barefoot in public, and much more. Leading to what laws are, who makes them, and why. How do they work? How do we change them if we do not like them?" Meanwhile, vague undocumented accounts of adventures outside the herd I used to freely write about. Book 1: Going Wild 1973, wilderness survival in the Alaska wilds. Book 2: Gone Wild 1977, life on a houseboat, dog team, 8 months at a time alone. Book 3: Still Wild 1986, 4 homesteads, 200 miles of trail cut, prospering off the land. Book 4: Beyond Wild 2000, village life off the grid, adjusting to civilization. Book 5: Back to Wild 2010, re-think what survival is, as issues in civilization develop. Book 6: This book, Surviving Wild 2014, civilized issues over land use, hunting, subsistence laws, cumulate in my arrest.
