In the Meantime
Yvonne a Rupende
In this book of poems, survivor and working mother, Yvonne Rupende, opens up her heart. She shares how God rescued her from death and an abusive relationship and brought her to a faith-filled trust in Him. It was after leaving the abusive relationship that Yvonne's burning passion to express her creativity was reignited. In communion with the Holy Spirit she took time and space to rediscover and reflect on God's saving intervention and care. These were the keys which unlocked her writing. Through scripture and poetry, God graciously used her valley experiences to transform and heal her. As she navigated the dark uncharted waters of homelessness, health services and the criminal justice system, she gained strength and undertook the responsibilities of a working mother, with renewed faith. Writing was Yvonne's secret release. From a mix of acute negative emotions, she came to experience joy, happiness, laughter, peace, hope and new beginnings, as the passage of time brought healing. She learned the power of forgiveness, turning from victim to victor, and she is now experiencing gifts, opportunities and the revival of childhood dreams. She has also been blessed with a new loving relationship based on mutuality and shared values. Yvonne's book encourages faith, courage and perseverance. Read it and be blessed.
