Blue Jeans and Pantaloons in Yesterplace

Yesterplace inhabitants included Flannery O'Connor, Susan Myrick of Gone With The Wind, cattle rustlers, shady politicians, world-renown scientists, murders and a conjure woman. With neither television nor telephone, Susan and her sisters made up their games and songs, rode horses to the picture show, and played at Roy Rogers and Jesse James. Yesterplace won the Josephine Mellichamp Award for nonfiction from the Southeastern Writers Association.
