The Collected Old Curmudgeon
Roy Hotchkiss
"Never let history get in the way of a good story." So says the Old Curmudgeon, and he tells a lot of good stories in his monthly column for the Price Hill Historical Society. He tackles the issues, big and small, with a little wisdom and lot of humor along with the history. You never know what subject the Old Curmudgeon might decide to investigate or vent about, but there's never a dull moment when the Old Curmudgeon is at his desk. Sit back and enjoy this collection that includes almost ten years of very assorted musings from one of Price Hill's favorite scribes, the Old Curmudgeon. Roy Hotchkiss has lived in Price Hill for most of eight decades. He has been a member of the Price Hill Historical Society since it was founded in 1990, and he's been writing the Old Curmudgeon's Corner for their award-winning newsletter since 1999. In addition to the Curmudgeon column, Roy has also written a historical novel about the founding of Cincinnati and several humorous mystery novels featuring Price Hill. In 2005, Roy was presented with the prestigious Griffin Yeatman Award from the city of Cincinnati's Recorder's Office for his diorama of the Price Hill Incline.
