We now live in a century where there are multitudes of young girls who are orphaned by the absence of a loving father in their life and as a result of that; they are more likely to fall prey to the wolves. I firmly believe that a young girl's first date should be with her father. Her first flowers should come from her father. Her first piece of jewelry should come from her father and yes, even her first shopping experience with the opposite sex should come from her father. It is her father who will lay the foundation and set the standards for her future prince charming. Her father should also be the one to explain to her the value and worth of her most prized possession; her body. And though it's expectant she'll have this conversation with her mother; the impact of having her father gently explain this to her as well, will only reaffirm and validate her value and worth even more. But unfortunately, for many other young girls, having a loving father to be her first prince charming is nothing more than a fairy tale. ~Broken Woman Weep No More~ Lyhong Hillard was born in Vietnam to a Cambodian mother and multiracial American soldier. She resides in Southern California and is a sought out motivational and inspirational speaker.
