THE MAGIC ISLAND OF TIPPETI-TOO A colorful tale that recounts the visits of seven year old Dave and his two pets, Tod the Tortoise and Bleep the Canary, to the magic Island of Tippeti-too, where he meets extraordinary and pleasure loving animals like a purple kangaroo, a crimson feathery mouse, a lavender blue crocodile that speaks only in rhymes, a wise and gentle dragon, not forgetting Nam, the only human on the island, nor the Lake Lady, who imbues Dave with wisdom, but a wisdom which lasts only while he is on Tippeti-too. Each year, on his birthday, Dave returns there, learning from its happy and fun loving inhabitants how life in our world could be like that on the magic island if we humans really wanted it. And on his last visit, when he is elected to rule it as Regent, he outwits the dreaded Xemians that threaten to invade Tippeti-too, so saving it and its very special residents from an impending if momentary doom.
