A Who-dun-it
Bare Stage. Characters: 3 male, 3 female
As this suspense-thriller is unraveled, we find a group of performers preparing for a rehearsal only to discover a slain body, center stage! Amidst sharp accusations, careless amateur attempts at detection, and tense hysterics, an overconfident Police Inspector appears. The stage is plunged in darkness, during which time the body disappears! In addition, all the doors to the auditorium are barred and the overwrought group realizes they may be held captive by a crazed killer! This easily staged one act is a theatre piece of excitement and genuine suspense.
