In the preparation of this dictionary, dozens of military & general dictionaries were scanned to produce this most complete collection comprising many terms & covering most branches of military science. In giving the equivalent Arabic terms, reference has been accorded to those terms agreed to by the Arabic Academic Centres in Cairo, Amman, Damascus, Baghdad & Rabat, & to the widely-accepted terms that have been coined by specialists & linguists over the past two decades. The Arabic equivalent of the military terms have been translated, coined, or arabicized with the utmost care & accuracy, in accordance with widely-accepted principles of Arabic terminology & style.
