When his fourth grade teacher asked Jim to write a ten page essay about the years of 1900, 1910, 1920 and on up, and how it they differed from the 90s. He wasn't interested; his only interest was going back to his grandmother's time to buy candies. Jim didn't realize going back in time would lead him to be a celebrity, and found out what it felt like to live through segregation even though it was before his time. He wrote his essay about segregation, how it began, how it ended, its struggle, its downfall, and its freedom.
