Rhiannon: Truth Bearer: Book II

Rhiannon; Truth Bearer is the fictional story of a young woman who is guided, challenged, and stretched to share her spiritual teachings and wisdom in a world that has largely forgotten such truths. Since the story takes place in the eleventh century, the reader might be surprised to discover that the fears, failures, and follies encountered mimic those of our own century, as do the triumphs, healings, and empowerment that come from heart-sourced knowing. In Rhiannon; Truth Seeker (Book I), we first meet Rhiannon as a ten year old girl who leaves home to embark on a spiritual journey, destined before her birth. She travels with her grandmother to a remote island to become a priestess-in-training in an order that honors and merges the wisdom of many great traditions. Over six years, she learns such lessons as the oneness of all, non-defensiveness, quieting the mind to hear the voice of the heart, surrender, forgiveness, and the power of love in the visible as well as unseen worlds. The first book ends with Rhiannon leaving the sheltered island to live and teach her truths in the world, a task also foreseen and met with a mixture of excitement and concern. In Truth Bearer, Rhiannon learns how much harder it is to model and trust spiritual truths in the midst of the fear-based living she typically encounters and sometimes find contagious. In a wonderful and original array of circumstances, she encounters priestesses, ancient faery folk, Christians, Jews, outlaws, commoners, and nobles, some of whom embrace or deepen her wisdom and others who label her a witch or heretic. Many times, she is called upon to heal bodies and/or hearts with the power of love and the strength and guidance of Spirit. And with each such encounter, her own journey into wholeness, trust, and surrender is tested and ultimately strengthened.
