Contributor Bio:  Williams, John John R. Williams, Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland, has published articles on Heidegger, Whitehead, and Hartshorne. Contributor Bio:  Doyle, Patrick Right from a very young age Patrick always knew that he wanted to pursue a life packed with adventure. Having served in the Irish Reserve Defence Forces throughout his time in school, the young Irishman went on to enlist in the regular Army to become a professional soldier. After 4 years of service as an Infantryman, UN Peacekeeper and sniper, Patrick left the military behind him in search of more. His travels took him from labouring on the busy streets of New York City, back packing throughout the Golan Heights and the West Bank to teaching english as a foreign language in China. Returning home to Ireland, he set about training as a health care attendant and spent the next 2 years working with the sick and the elderly in a local hospital. It was here that Patrick would learn the values of patience, empathy and taking care of those who needed help. Yet still feeling untested in life, the ex-soldier spent 7 weeks training in Denmark and Bosnia to become a Close Protection Officer. Not long after, the opportunity came for Patrick to put his skills and training to work. By December 2006 he deployed to Haiti. For the next three and a half years, the Caribbean nation would play an influential part in his life. In that time he would come to see Haiti as more than just an operational environment. It became his home. 3 years on, Haiti still remains close to Patrick's heart. His experiences throughout his time there, particularly that of the earthquake, have left him feeling, incomplete. Though currently operating as a Maritime Security Officer off of the Somali coastline, Patrick knows that he will return to Haiti in the future. Contributor Bio:  Williams, Angela Alayna Williams has an MA in sociology-criminology (research interests: fear of crime and victimology) and a BA in criminology. She has worked in and around criminal justice since 1997. Although she does read Tarot cards, she's never used them in criminal profiling or to locate lost scientists. She recently took up astronomy, but for the most part her primary role in studying constellations and dark matter is to follow her amateur astronomer-husband around central Ohio toting the telescope tripod and various lenses. Like the Pythia in "Dark Oracle", she's been known to belly dance. Unlike the Pythia she?d never consider herself a professional. Contributor Bio:  Hooper, Meredith Blackstone's Criminal Practice is written by a distinguished team of contributors, representing the accumulated experience of the Bench, the Bar, the solicitors' profession, and the academic world. The team is headed by Lord Justice Hooper and Professor David Ormerod.
