In one volume is concentrated data on the history, resettlement, demography, traditions, religion, culture, social and political movements, etc. of Russian Jewry from antiquity to the collapse of the Soviet Union, including Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, the Transcaucasus, Central Asia, and others.
