The Secret of Jesus, Peter, and Jacob is the story of two young, innocent boys who believe that Jesus has asked for their help in bringing him down from the cross. By doing so, they cause an uproar in their small town. When a statue of Jesus disappears, Peter and Jacob are implicated, and a hearing ensues for the alleged theft of the statue. They are exonerated when the priest from the church from which the statue was stolen believes their story that they only wanted to set Jesus free and not have him suffer on the cross any longer. The Secret of Jesus, Peter, and Jacob is a classic story about grownups learning from the wisdom of children.
