Coping: a Black Cancer Patients Observation
Warren G. H. Jr. Fisher
This book is unique because it gives a Black view of what he must endure and draw on to recover from something so severe as a Cancer Bone Marrow Transplant. The war he must fight not just with himself but also with those around. This include both the negative thinking of family, and the society we live in. Very little is written about the Black experience. When we view television or read the papers 99.9 percent of the cancer patients we viewed are white. There are thousands of us victims out in the world with stories to tell. These are positive stories that can help others and change the future?especially of our Black youth.
