The Case of the Distant Relative

Set against the background of the Women's Suffrage movement in 1895 in Wellington, New Zealand, the machinations of the liquor barons and politicians create events that become murderous. Sophia Holmes, a distant relative of Arthur Conan Doyle is drawn into events that threaten to undermine the Women's movement. As murder, arson and kidnap threaten to blacken the cause of votes for women, Sophia's past life leads her into a dangerous confrontation with a cunning adversary.
