Quietly, I Reply
Lary Crews
Lary Crews is a writer. He has written six novels, four non-fiction books, more than a thousand business magazine articles, 25 different blog sites and fifty newspaper humor columns. He has also worked as editor of three different weekly newspapers. In 15 years, he taught 4,125 online students in 26 states how to write their first novel. However, when he was 22 years old in 1968, he had no idea that writing and editing would be his lifelong career. Because he wanted to get down his feelings on paper, he bought a steno notebook, ball-point pen and dragged them everywhere he went for the next 11 years, writing free verse in an attempt to become a writer. Quietly I Reply began right before he entered the U. S. Navy. As it turned out, the Navy was where he learned about writing, serving as editor of the base newspaper. He was editor of a Houston business newspaper after he finished his tour of duty, and went on to edit the Florida Business Journal in Sarasota. His first three novels sold a combined quarter-million copies and were reprinted in 2000 and will be again in the summer of 2017. Crews, who lives in Reno, Nevada, is writing a memoir called Counterfeit Life
